Negotiations with multiple agencies, including police and prosecution, was able to resolve what should have been 6 separate felony drug cases (and what would have resulted in significant prison time). Client had taken significant steps on his own to address a long history of drug abuse and addiction and came to counsel to help him address numerous felony warrants, the number and location of pending cases was not known. Nevertheless, by piecemeal reaching out to and demonstrating client's success to address his past demons, multiple jurisdictions agreed to assist client in his recovery by not filing and/or dismissing and diverting felony charges. When client completes the program, he will have earned dismissals and resolve all matters with no felony convictions.
